Recreational Gym safety
We are so excited to welcome our recreational gymnasts back in September!! Below you will fine key things to remember, a link to our gym protocol and a video explaining how we are running things around the gym now. If you have any questions feel free to contact us or call.
Anyone 12 and up must wear a mask when entering the building unless they qualify for one of the exemptions listed by the Middlesex-London Health Unit. The masks are not required during class but must be put back on when they are done.
Please keep in mind that OUR VIEWING AREA IS SMALL and to be able to have everyone move around while keeping a distance we cannot have a lot of people in the viewing area. In the video we do mention that parents may come in BUT only if it is absolutely necessary (example: if you have small children). We have the screening form online now so you may fill that out once you are seated in the viewing area.
Please also keep in mind that you might not be able to come in every week to watch your child, as we want to give other parents the chance to come in if they wish.
If you do come in you MUST wear a mask and keep it on the whole time you are in the building. Unless you qualify for one of the exemptions listed by the Middlesex-London Health Unit.
Other things we did not highlight in our video:
Staff will be wearing masks/face shields. (unless they qualify for one of the exemptions listed by the Middlesex-London Health Unit). You may see some of our competitive coaches spotting without a face mask, it is for safety purposes as it may interfere with their ability to see or speak clearly and allowed by Gymnastics Ontario.
Blocks and mats will be sanitized after each event
Hand sanitizer will be used each time when re-entering the gym
There are hand washing guides in the washrooms
Washrooms will be sanitized after each use
At the end of each day the gym will be fogged
